Visited this place for breakfast and both food and coffees were great. Would go again!!
Booked a private dining room for my birthday and I was honestly really disappointed after being so excited to try this place out. Firstly, the waitress told us to go and find the room and left us so we had to ask someone to help us find it as getting to the dining room was confusing. Sat in the dining room for 10 mins waiting for menus and eventually had to go and ask for them. The pics online were very different to the actual room, it was a small dusty and dirty room with benches as chairs and the plants stuck into our backs when we sat down. The aircon wasn't working and the waitress was coming in and out constantly trying to turn it on, whilst the water from the jugs was completely warm which was horrible on such a hot day. I was so disappointed as I'd booked this for my birthday. I ordered a mocha which was good but very overpriced as you could only taste the chocolate powder. The smashed avo was delicious and my friends enjoyed their food, the service and room itself was just very poor. Parking was also extremely limited and we all had to park 10-15 minute walks away- again not convenient on a 38 degree day. Wouldn't recommend coming here for a function/ group event.
Went here for breakfast the other day and the food and service was on point, ordered the Turkish baked eggs and the eggs benny with bacon, both were delicious! Also would like to say the staff were very attentive and friendly, great vibes all around. Would reccomend
I had the most lovely experience at this cafe. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The food and coffee was delicious! 10/10 recommend this place
Not a good experience - I had reserved a table personally and made it clear we needed proper chairs for 6. We were shown a different table with stools and a very small bench seat. Waitress forgot a coffee and after waiting at least 30 min we had to go and remind them. Ordering and receiving meals took close to 60mins. Food was good though except the poached egg on toast resembled a boiled egg on toast! Won’t be going there again.
I didn’t realise but Drift Kitchen dine in is the same space as Skol! Beautiful interior, quick and friendly service - our meal and coffees came out within 10 minutes. Highly recommend the mushroom on toast and eggs Benny.
Serverrs are usually pretty arrogant and unfriendly. Just subtle things like won’t hand your stamp card back to you, they put it down in front of you. One morning I asked them to turn the music down at 7am on Sunday as it was way too overpowering and beyond ambient. I had to move outside and I got “our boss likes it loud” - when I mentioned it. Seriously, take some notice of the feedback you’re getting. People like to relax in a Sunday not be blasted with disco l beats. Not coming back even though this is my local, you can get far better service and some of the local delis and the coffee is just as good.
Great atmosphere and staffs. But there’s no special brekkie and lunch menu. It’s boring, even I order the most special foods but taste was okay. I disappoint a scrambled eggs, there’s not enough butter so it was’t soft and saltness was’t good enough. Even I believe this is the most common and basic menu but.. would’t come back here. But coffee was amazing, barista made a coffee very well - impressive !
